The WGC Rotary Walk and Fun Run, organised by the Rotary Clubs of WGC and Hatfield, will be supporting four headline charities for the first time; Hertfordshire Action on Disability, Digswell Place Group Riding For The Disabled (RDA), Kimpton Blue Cross re-homing centre and Carers in Hertfordshire.

The event starts at 9am at the Campus West car park in Welwyn Garden City and there are two routes to choose from, 11 or 6.5 miles, taking in attractive countryside and woodlands around the town.  It costs £10 to enter and entry fees will be distributed among the headlines charities and go towards running costs. Entrants will be able to donate all the money they raise for their chosen charity.

Rock icon Marty Wilde, who is currently on his 60th year anniversary tour,  has agreed to be patron of this event  and will start the event, along with Borough Mayor Lynne Sparks.
