Carnival Ball raises £25000

We would like to thank everyone who attended our Carnival Ball in November and helped raise an amazing figure of £25,000. Thanks so much to Harriet, Amanda and the other volunteers on the Ball team for all their hard work on this event.

Rotary Swimathon

Thank you so much to St Albans & District Rotary for their generous donation of £7200 raised from their recent swimathon. The cheque was presented by Rotary members and the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire.

HRH Princess Anne visit for our 50th celebrations

For our 50th celebrations we welcomed a special guest -HRH Princess Anne, Patron of RDA. She started the visit by meeting core, long standing members of the Digswell Place team and was shown a board taking you through 50 years of history of the stables and horses. This was followed by a tour of the yard to meet ponies, minders and volunteers. Some of our riders did a fantastic display and HRH Princess Anne presented a number of riders with 50th Anniversary rosettes. Finally she unveiled a plaque and cut a fabulous 50th cake before being presented with a lovely posy and 50th anniversary horseshoe [...]

Open Day raises £2000

Riders, volunteers, friends and family enjoyed a day at our 2nd Open Day and helped us raise £2000. There were plenty of activities to enjoy- rider demonstrations, tombola, plant sale, welly throwing, cake sale BBQ and hobby horse and dog gymkhana.

Sport Massage Therapy for our ponies

After a recent bequest it meant we could get some much needed rehabilitation massage therapy for our ponies. After all the hard work they do this is essential for their wellbeing. The therapist released lots of tension and afterwards they had much better posture and appeared very relaxed.
