What an amazing achievement ! A huge thank you to the lovely volunteers from Black Horse Asset Finance for spending an entire day helping us paint our new stables with wood protector. It was an ambitious and slightly daunting project and the team worked extremely hard and we are very grateful for all their good humour and fantastic help. We would also like to thank Richard from the Crown Decorating Centre in Welwyn Garden City as he supplied the Sadolin wood protector and brushes at an excellent discount. We couldn't have done it without you all !!!      THANK YOU                                   

Most Handsome Dog ! Huge thanks to all our donors, supporters, volunteers & friends of Digswell Place RDA Group who helped make Dogs & Daffs 2016 such a successful event. We are absolutely delighted that your kind donations and sponsorship total around £4500 including gift aid & will enable us to pay for a Field Shelter for our ponies and 10 new riding hats. Digswell Place Group RDA is very grateful for an extremely generous donation from the Hornbeams Society which has enabled us to replace 10 stables which were nearly 50 years old with brand new stables from Prime Stables. Clearing out the old stables         All the groundworks were completed by A. Veasey and the design of the new stables was customised to provide natural light, increased shelter, substantially better guttering, and level entrances; which all make the stables more accessible and comfortable for ponies, helpers and riders.   Nicki, a veterinary nurse at The Veterinary Centre, very bravely completed a sponsored aquathlon challenge and raised £354 which was match funded by Brian and Simon, the vets at The Veterinary Centre, to bring the grand total to £708!

  A huge thank you to the Black Horse Runners and Striders for raising £3019 for Digswell Place Group RDA.  The keener members took part in a sponsored 10k Regents Park run and others completed a leisurely 10k sponsored walk through the countryside on Midsummer's eve. To top it all Lloyds Bank very kindly match funded the events bringing the total to an amazing £3019. We are extremely grateful to them for their fundraising efforts and their support for Digswell Place Group RDA.

A huge thank you to Welwyn Garden City Rotary Club who organised a very successful Brass Band Concert with the Welwyn Garden City Band and the choir from Springmead School in December and kindly donated  £250  from the proceeds to Digswell Place Group RDA.

We are delighted to announce that Digswell Place Group RDA has been chosen by the Stable Yard Shops at Hatfield House as their chosen charity. The  exclusive retailers which range from bridal wear to sweets, toys, music,  jewellery,  gun makers and a restaurant  felt that it was appropriate to support us in view of the Stable Yard's rich history of working with horses. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for us to raise the awareness of Digswell Place Group RDA in the local community it has also developed into a dynamic  working partnership which has resulted in  a very exciting  new fundraising event: Dogs and Daffs Dog walk and Fun Dog Show to be held on 1st March 2015 [...]
