Lets get Bonnie Working
We at Digswell Place RDA care deeply about our riders and volunteers and also our wonderful horses. They are the real heroes and sadly one now needs your help. Bonnie, our 14 year old Highland, has been with us for 7 years and is regularly used by riders of all ages and sizes, a perfect all rounder. Her cheekiness, her facial expressions and her patience with our riders has earned her fans over the years. A trip for diagnostic scanning showed Bonnie had a manica tear in her back leg which required immediate surgery. 2.6 Challenge- Sunday 26th April 2020
2.6 Challenge. Are we up for it? Yes we are!! Lots of people are getting involved this Sunday, on what would have been the London Marathon, to raise money for chosen charities, and we at Digswell Place RDA are joining in to help raise funds for our horses and ponies. Our wonderful minders, ponies, Sue, Sian and Tia the dog are going to walk, ride, dance (hmm maybe not 😀) 26 miles worth of laps around our new arena, within the confinements of social distancing of course! Viva Las Vegas ball raises amazing £22,700!
Really pleased to announce that our annual Ball raised an amazing £22,700! Once again, thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did... and also to all those who donated, sponsored and helped towards the evening. RDA 50th celebrations
As RDA nationally celebrates 50 years, Digswell Place joined the celebrations and welcomed our County Chair for her Golden Horseshoe Route as she walked and rode across the County in a route linking the 9 RDA Groups in Hertfordshire. She also joined us for our volunteers thank you lunch where she also presented us with our very own golden horseshoe
Fantastic results from National Championships
A fantastic result for our riders at this years National Championships in Hartpury, Gloucester. Our impressive independent rider, Jemma, came first in both her dressage classes! The lovely Jo showed what a gorgeous pair her and pony Amber made with 3rd place in Tack and Turnout. Louise did superbly with 4th place in her dressage test and 3rd in Tack and Turnout. Finally a massive well done and thank you to Sue and Sian for their hard work, skill and organisation over the weekend, and of course much love and carrots to the horses! Civic Award for Sue Jenkins
Our Yard Manager, Sue Jenkins, was honoured to receive a Civic Award for her outstanding contributions to the community. She was presented with her award by the Mayor of Welwyn and Hatfield, Barbara Fitzsimmon. Well done Sue, a well deserved accolade!
